 A good basic step stool, but labels are impossible to remove July 14, 2010

I've never done a review before, but after reading the reviews on this and receiving mine today, I had to chime in on the labeling. The stool itself is fine, perfect for my 3-year-old to reach the sink. It's definitely nothing to look at--almost industrial plastic-like and more appropriate for a laundry room or kitchen, but will be OK since it'll be stored most of the time. BUT...the label (specifically the large one shown in the picture) is impossible to get off. The smaller ones are fine, nothing a little goo gone can't deal with, but after almost 30 minutes, 1/4 bottle of goo gone and multiple scrapes in the plastic, I finally got the large label off. Not enough to deter you if this is what you need, but just a warning...

Make sure you look at the specifications - I didn't and got something way too big for my needs. However, for the price, I kept it.

This stool is very well made. It serves it's purpose perfectly.
I have only one complaint.
There are two decals on the stool as you can see in the picture. The small round vinyl decal peels off easily. The larger rectangular is made of paper and is a royal pain to remove. It doesn't come off easily. The glue is too strong and makes a mess when I tried to peel it off. It tears and leaves sticky residue on the stool.
This was so frustrating that I am forced to downgrade my rating. Maybe the manufacturer will switch to a more user-friendly decal?

I bought this step for myself to use in the kitchen because I needed something easy to store and it became my daughter's "potty step". It was a great tool in our potty-training because she could get it out and set it up herself, then move it to the sink and wash her hands when she was finished. Unfortunately, she can also easily set this step up anywhere in the house and climb into and onto whatever she wants, but that's my problem! It's a great resource for around the house, folds up nearly flat and I love it. Ordering 3 more, one for my use and two for our lake house.

This is the perfect little stool that gives you just the little extra lift you need to reach that top shelf. It folds up nice & flat for easy storage just about anywhere. Very strong & sturdy. Good price for this product.
