I got this as part of a "add both items to cart" combined order with a Blue Rhino GAD860SP gas firepit. The cover arrived immediately, while the firepit was back ordered for two months. When the firepit arrived, I found out that this cover is too small to fit. The cover is specified as fitting 40" square, and the firepit said 42", but since Amazon listed them together, I assumed it would fit. WRONG!
So, now I have to try to get Amazon to take this back after the normal return period has expired.
This is unfortunate, because this looks like a really nice cover, and much better than the one that came with the firepit!
Firepit Cover - Watertight, Excellent Material August 10, 2010

This is an excellent quality fire pit cover. Previous cover was a black "plasticky" mess!
Material is heavy and looks like it will stand the test of time. Bottom has elastic, and one side is screened at the bottom to allow air to circulate.
Have had several rain storms and some with winds over 70 mph! Cover is still holding strong. No rain or moisture in the pit!
The color is different then the traditional black, cover and fire pit seem to stay cooler. Color is a nice match for our deck.
One negative is that it is fading from initial color, but has stabilized and is holding strong.
Also wouldn't hurt for it to have a tether on a corner or two to tie it down. The elastic does a good job, I would just like to see a way to make sure it isn't going to fly away.
But don't hesitate to order...this is an excellent cover.

I happen to have a very large square firepit, and it just so happens that I could not find a cover to fit it anywhere!! I searched for months! This saved it! It fit perfectly with even a bit more room. the elastic bottoms holds it nicely to the bottom so it does not blow off. It also seems to be holding up with the rain. This really was a great buy for the price!
